The “Battle Carrier” Program of US Navy
The US Navy sought to combine aircraft carriers with battleships in order to create a more potent combat force in light of lessons learned during the Second World War. This is said to be crucial in order to get a battleship with tremendous speed and armaments to defeat adversaries more quickly and make them stronger in the sea. The “Battle Carrier” Program is what this project is known as. The US Navy will need to invest a lot of money in the future to fulfill this dream. In addition, many of the newest aircraft carriers, like the USS Enterprise CVN-80 and USS Dorris Miller CVN-81, are now being built.
