Malaysia Decided the Tejas Fighter Jet as the Main Choice with a Tempting Package

Many fighter jet companies are fighting over procurement from various countries.

Recently, Malaysia is in negotiations with India to buy the Tejas Jet Fighter.

Malaysia prefers Tejas because of various lucrative offers from the Indian side.

Apart from the procurement package, India has also offered to build a repair service facility in Malaysia for the damaged Russian SU-30 fighter jet. As we know, western countries are imposing heavy sanctions on Russia due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Malaysia Prefers Tejas Fighter Jet over China J-17

Malaysia’s decision is really surprising considering the price of the Chinese JF-17 fighter is cheaper than the Tejas Fighter Jet. However, R Madhavan, chairman, of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) believes Malaysia has made the decision because the Tejas Fighter jet has more advantages over the JF-17 or other light fighter aircraft. He also added that the decision to buy Tejas fighter jets would increase their air power in the future.

According to businesstoday.in, Malaysia’s negotiations with the Indian side Tejas Fighter Jet have entered the final stage.

The New Variant of Tejas Fighter Jet

For information, Tejas is a supersonic fighter aircraft made by Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) from India which is currently upgrading to a fifth-generation Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) named Tejas MK-IA with a contract of $5 billion for 83 fighter jets in 2030.

R Madhavan says that now Tejas has a very advanced platform. This aircraft is the best in its class.
