History of Sullivan Cup

The Sullivan Cup is a biennial event that takes place in the first week of May. The purpose of the competition is to assess the ability of the best armored crews from U.S. Soldiers and International partners.

Name Sullivan was taken from the Officer with the rank of general who commanded the most troops, General (Retired) Gordon R. Sullivan who was also the 32nd chief of staff and had contributed a lot to the Armor Troops.

The Sullivan Cup 22 will take place on May 2-6, 2022 at Fort Benning, Georgia, United States. The competition highlighted various issues related to the importance of troops knowing basic, and advanced skills such as maneuvering, cannon shooting, maintenance, and the ability to work as a team to assess effectiveness in action.

In this 2022 Sullivan Cup, Results Based on the assessment, the first winner of best tank crew is Spartan Soldiers from the 67th Armor Regiment and an M2A3 Bradley crew. In this competition, Spartan Soldiers assigned to the 2nd Battalion consisted of the 69th Armor Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, M1A3 Abrams tank crew,  2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, and 3rd Battalion consisted of the 67th Armor Regiment, the M2A3 Bradley Combat Vehicle crew.

Spartan soldiers are part of the U.S Army with great capabilities. This competition also can strengthen the capability of the soldier when conducting a mission.
